Unknown gunmen opened fire on the car of a local official in Al-Maqatra district, north of Lahj governorate, southern Yemen, on Sunday.
Local sources said that unknown gunmen opened fire on the car of the Director General of Al-Maqatra District, Jamal Shamsan, in the early hours of Sunday, while it was parked in front of his house in the village of Al-Naziha Al-Ulya Ma’baq.
The sources added that the attack resulted in damage to the car and broken bottles, without knowing who was behind the incident or its causes.
