The Yemen Mine Action Project (MASAM) announced today, Sunday, the removal of 536 Houthi mines and ammunition in the liberated areas of Yemen, during the past week.
The project stated in a statement by its media center that its field teams were able, during the past week (February 8-14, 2025), to remove 536 lethal materials, including 478 unexploded ordnance, 48 anti-tank mines, 9 anti-personnel mines, and an explosive device.
He added that the field teams disinfected 246,385 square meters during the same period.
The center indicated that since the project was launched in Yemen in June 2018, its field teams have been able to remove and destroy 481,776 mines, unexploded ordnance, and explosive devices in the liberated areas of Yemen.
