The Masam project to clear Yemeni lands of mines said that the project teams were able to remove 840 mines, unexploded ordnance, and explosive devices last week, planted by the terrorist Houthi militias supported by the Iranian regime.
Masam explained in a press release published on its website that the total number of mines removed since the beginning of January until January 24 amounted to 3,362 mines.
He pointed out that the project teams removed 800 unexploded ordnance and 38 anti-tank mines during the past week, bringing the total number of unexploded ordnance and 166 anti-tank mines removed since the beginning of January until today to 3,172 unexploded ordnance and 166 anti-tank mines.
The project noted that Masam teams have been able to clear 1,032,421 square meters of Yemeni lands since the beginning of the month.
It is noteworthy that the MASAM team has cleared 64,411,092 square meters of Yemeni lands since its launch.
The project had announced earlier last year that its teams had been able to remove about half a million mines and explosive devices since it began operating in Yemen in early 2018.
