Clashes between army forces and the terrorist Houthi militia resumed last night on several fronts in Taiz Governorate (southwest of Yemen).
The Taiz Military Axis stated in a brief statement on its Facebook page, late yesterday evening, that clashes erupted between army forces and the terrorist Houthi militia on the Al-Aqroud front, southeast of the city of Taiz, without mentioning further details.
In a separate statement, the army announced the thwarting of an infiltration attempt by the Houthi militia on the Asifrah front, north of Taiz city.
The army media pointed out that the Houthi militia - which lost controlling positions last Tuesday - launched artillery shelling targeting the army forces' positions on the air defense front northwest of the city of Taiz.
On Monday/Tuesday night, the National Army forces thwarted violent attacks launched by the Houthi militia on their positions on the northern and northwestern fronts of the city, before leading counterattacks and taking control of the strategic "Al-Aryal and Al-Zabia" hills, in the vicinity of the "Air Defense" and advancing on the northern front to Al-Arbaeen Street and taking control of several buildings in battles that resulted in the killing and wounding of 23 Houthi elements.
