Al-Alimi meeting of the security committee in Taiz
A research institution recommended that the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council follow up on the implementation of projects for which the foundation stone was laid in Taiz Governorate, warning of the danger of delaying implementation and its negative impact on the popular support for the legitimate authority.
This came in a paper prepared by the Mokha Center for Strategic Studies, which stressed the importance of adhering to the timetable set for these projects to avoid a state of frustration that could harm citizens’ support for the legitimate leadership.
The recommendations also indicated that the decision to change the leadership of the local authority in Taiz should remain under continuous study, with the possibility of making the decision at any time without being bound by a specific time period.
She warned that setting a period of up to six months might give the impression that there was no imminent intention to change, regardless of performance.
The Foundation called for giving priority to addressing the files of war wounded and martyrs' families in a radical manner, stressing that this file must be at the forefront of priorities to ensure justice and achieve social balance.
She also stressed the importance of implementing development projects supported by the Saudi Reconstruction Program to enhance Taiz's steadfastness and support efforts to liberate it from Houthi control.
The research paper addressed the challenges facing the legitimate authority in Taiz, stressing the importance of strengthening the relationship between the local authorities, the legitimate government, and the Presidential Leadership Council to ensure stability and support the efforts of the popular resistance.
She explained that achieving these goals requires effective local leadership that is ready to cooperate with various parties in the governorate.
