Revenge issues.. Son of a security official injured during armed clashes in Shabwa

The son of a security official in Shabwa Governorate (southeast Yemen) was injured today, Tuesday, during clashes with tribal gunmen in the center of the city of Ataq, the center of the governorate, on the basis of blood feud cases.

A local source told "Yemeni Youth Net" that armed clashes broke out today between gunmen from the "Al Marfad" and "Al Jazea" tribes, as a result of tribal revenge in the middle of the city of Ataq.

The source added that the clashes resulted in the injury of the young man, Badr Shaniter, with minor injuries. He is the son of the Director of Traffic Police in Shabwa Governorate, Colonel Hussein Shaniter, who belongs to the Al-Jazea tribe.

This comes amidst a major security chaos in the directorates of Shabwa Governorate, which are under the control of formations affiliated with the Transitional Council, with increasing fighting and tribal revenge.
