A child died and six other people (women and children) were injured when their house collapsed due to heavy rains in a town in Ibb Governorate (central Yemen).

Local sources told Yemen Youth Net that an old two-story house collapsed on its residents due to heavy rains that hit the Koman district of Habish, north of Ibb, on Tuesday.

The sources explained that the accident resulted in the death of a child and the injury of four women and two children from the family of citizen (Abdo Hamoud Al-Aushmi).

Sources indicated that the bereaved family was transferred to the Green Brigade Hospital in Al-Sahoul for treatment.

During the last rainy season, dozens of homes in the governorate were destroyed, causing significant human and material losses.
