Yemen Youth - Follow-ups
The National Bloc of Political Parties and Components welcomed the executive order issued by US President Donald Trump, yesterday, Wednesday, classifying the Houthi militia as a foreign terrorist organization.
He considered, in a statement, today, Thursday, that this decision reflects a clear international awareness of the danger of this terrorist group, which practiced violence and terrorism to control Yemeni cities, destroyed the infrastructure, threatened regional and international peace, and attacked neighboring countries, in addition to harming the world's vital interests in the Red Sea, which posed a great danger to international trade, commercial ships, civilians and military personnel in the region.
The National Bloc of Yemeni Political Parties and Components affirmed its full support for this decision, stressing the importance of this classification being a decisive step towards ending the Houthi coup and restoring the Yemeni state and its legitimate institutions.
He called on the international community to increase its efforts to dry up the sources of funding for this terrorist group, take firm measures to ensure that the flow of weapons to it stops, and provide the necessary support to Yemen to achieve stability and peace.
The Presidential Leadership Council also called for a positive response to this decision, by seizing this historic opportunity and working to end the coup with a Yemeni national agenda that places the interests of the Yemeni people above all considerations.
The National Bloc stressed the importance of unifying all Yemeni political and military forces to achieve the supreme goal of ending the coup and restoring state institutions, in line with the aspirations of the Yemeni people to be liberated from the grip of this terrorist group.
The statement noted that the Yemeni people, who have endured the woes caused by this group, deserve to see serious national and international steps to put an end to this tragedy and restore Yemen's security, stability, and regional and international standing.
