The famous Arabic song is ranked 327th on the list of the most viewed songs worldwide on YouTube.
It is noteworthy that the most viewed video is a song dedicated to children, "Baby Shark", with 15 billion views, which is the highest number since its establishment in 2005.
20 years of YouTube
YouTube was founded on February 14, 2005, by three former PayPal employees: Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim. The idea behind YouTube was to make it easier to share videos online, as the founders noticed that sharing videos via email was difficult and inefficient.
On April 23, 2005, the first YouTube video was uploaded by Jawed Karim titled "Me at the zoo". The video was a short recording of Jawed at a zoo, talking about elephants. Despite its simplicity, this video was the beginning of a site that would later become one of the largest video sharing platforms in the world.
In October 2006, a year and a half after YouTube launched, Google decided to acquire the site for $1.65 billion. This deal was one of the largest in the Internet industry at the time.
The acquisition by Google helped fuel YouTube's growth, as the site leveraged Google's vast technological and financial resources, improving the user experience and expanding its streaming capabilities.
Today, YouTube is the second most visited website in the world after Google, attracting billions of viewers daily.
