Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council, Dr. Abdullah Abu Al-Ghaith, affirmed that the country's leadership attaches great importance to the issue of the wounded, the disabled, and the families of martyrs, and is working to care for them and their families and improve their health and living conditions.
This came in his speech delivered during the Ramadan evening for the wounded, organized by the National Association for the Wounded and Disabled in Marib city, yesterday evening, which was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Training and Rehabilitation Authority in the Ministry of Defense, Major General Ahmed Al-Absi, and a number of military and civilian leaders, according to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba).
Abu Al-Ghaith explained that the government's interest stems from appreciation for their great sacrifices for the homeland and in defense of the revolution, the republic, its gains, and the country's independence from the Iranian occupation by the terrorist Houthi militias.
The Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council praised the sacrifices made by the wounded and martyrs and the heroic deeds they wrote with their blood on various fronts on the road to victory in the national battle to restore state institutions and end the absurd project of the terrorist Houthi militias and the Iranian-Persian agenda they are implementing in Yemen and the region.
For his part, the association's president, Ahmed Al-Ramal, in his speech during the evening, called for the urgent implementation of government decisions related to the care of the wounded. He also called for intensifying local and international efforts to care for and rehabilitate the wounded and disabled, and finding sustainable solutions that meet their needs, rehabilitate them, and integrate them into society, especially in light of the current economic and living challenges.
Participants in the evening stressed the importance of honoring the sacrifices of the wounded, disabled, and martyrs, and intensifying efforts to improve their health and living conditions and those of their families, and ensuring they obtain their legitimate rights.
The participants affirmed the continuation of the national struggle until the liberation of Yemen is complete, state institutions are restored, and they are purged of the terrorist Houthi militias, their malicious project, and their terrorist ideology. This is the only way to achieve a just and comprehensive peace for all Yemenis across the country, and to move towards reconstruction and building a just Yemeni state that guarantees equal citizenship.
