Tribal gunmen stormed the headquarters of the Facilities Security Forces in Al Mahrah Governorate, eastern Yemen, on Thursday.
A local source told "Yemeni Youth Net" that tribal gunmen stormed the Security Facilities Camp (formerly the headquarters of the coalition forces) in the Nishtun area in Al-Ghaydah District.
The source explained that the security forces were reinforced with security units from the directorate center towards the Nishtun area, noting that the reinforcements were exposed to gunfire on the "Dabot-Nishtun" line, which resulted in the injury of two soldiers from the Special Security Forces.
According to the source, reinforcements arrived at the camp site in Nishtun and surrounded the area, without storming the camp or reaching an agreement with the tribal militants who reject the presence of camps in their area.
It is noteworthy that this raid comes days after the arrival of military forces affiliated with the Homeland Shield Forces to the governorate, coming from the southern Saudi border.
