The head of the Supreme Council of the National Bloc of Political Parties and Components, Dr. Ahmed Obaid bin Dagher, described the meeting of the Islah Party leaders with the Vice President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Head of the Transitional Council, Major General Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, as a "positive step towards comprehensive national reconciliation."
Yesterday, Thursday, a delegation from the leadership of the Yemeni Islah Party, consisting of the member of the Supreme Authority and head of the parliamentary bloc, MP Abdul Razzaq Al-Hijri, the member of the Authority, Professor Ahmed Al-Qamari, the deputy head of the bloc, MP Ansaf Mayo, and the acting head of the Foreign Relations Office, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Shami, met with the member of the Presidential Leadership Council and head of the Transitional Council, Major General Aidarous Al-Zubaidi.
Bin Dagher stressed in a post on his Facebook page that "this step reflects the necessity of strengthening relations between the forces opposing the Houthi Imamate project linked to the Iranian expansionist project in the region."
Bin Dagher explained that the current stage requires greater solidarity between the various political and social forces in Yemen.
He pointed out that the common vision of the nature of the conflict is gradually deepening, which contributes to overcoming the illusions of exclusivity, exclusionary policies, and some discourse laden with a legacy of contradictions.
He said: "We are living some hope, as if health is creeping back into the edges of our rational political thinking."
He added: "Our battle with the Houthis, by its nature coming from the dust of the past and the legacy of history, is neither northern nor southern, nor is it the responsibility of the East or the mission of the West. Rather, it is the battle of the state and its political expression represented in the authority, and the Transitional Council has become one of its pillars, as it is the responsibility of society with its political, social and cultural components.
The Islah leadership delegation discussed with Major General Al-Zubaidi a number of issues and developments on the local scene, as well as the situation on the regional level, and its impact on Yemen. He stressed the importance of the cohesion of the national forces supporting legitimacy, and the unity of ranks, to complete the national battle in confronting the Houthi Imamate project, and to restore the state.
