Michigan: Yemen Youth Net

The American Center for Justice renewed its call to the international community and private organizations supporting education to pressure the Houthi militia to pay the salaries due to tens of thousands of teachers in areas under the militia’s control.
The center said in a statement on its Facebook page, "Since 2016, more than 160,000 teachers in areas controlled by the Houthi group have been deprived of their salaries, despite collecting billions of riyals from port revenues and taxes."
He pointed out that the militia pays "half salaries" every 3 months under impossible conditions, while union leaders are kidnapped simply for demanding their rights.
The center also called on the international community to provide sufficient support to the Yemeni government to recover looted resources.
At the end of its statement, the center stressed that "there is no future for Yemen without justice for teachers."
