Educational leader Fahd Al-Salami, who was released from the Houthi militia prisons, confirmed on Saturday that he will continue the national struggle until the militia’s death project is overthrown and the state is restored.

This came during a phone call made to him by the head of the Supreme Authority of the Yemeni Congregation for Reform, Mohammed Al-Yadoumi, and the party’s Secretary-General, Abdul-Wahhab Al-Ansi, according to what was reported by the “Islah Net” website, the party’s spokesman.

According to the website, the educator who was released from the Houthi militia prisons, the activist Fahd Al-Salami, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Islah leadership for this communication, interest and continuous follow-up of their case, praising the national role of Islah in the national battle.

Al-Yadoumi and Al-Ansi congratulated the peaceful activist on his release today from the Houthi militia prisons, after more than 9 years of his kidnapping, praising his struggle and steadfastness in the face of the militia’s arrogance, and the torture he faced.

We appreciate the steadfastness of the peaceful fighter and all the kidnapped people in the prisons of the Houthi militia, in the face of the arrogance and hatred of the militia, and their emphasis on the presence of republican values and national constants in this confrontation, appreciating their national struggle, in order to be freed from the project of priesthood, racism and death.

Al-Yadoumi and Al-Ansi explained that all the honorable and heroic people who were kidnapped and disappeared are national symbols and a living extension of the struggles of the free people of Yemen and its symbols.

It is noteworthy that the Houthi militia had kidnapped the educator Fahd Al-Salami after raiding his home in Sana'a in early October 2015. At the time, he was working as the director of Al-Nahda Private Schools, and Al-Salami remained missing in the Houthi militia prisons until early January 2020.

In 2022, the Houthi militia issued a death sentence against Al-Salami and a number of his kidnapped comrades on charges of cooperating with the aggression.

Today, Saturday, he arrived in the city of Marib in an exchange deal with the National Army forces, where the Houthi militia worked to exchange the civilians they kidnapped from their homes for their members who were captured on the fronts by the army forces.
