Egyptian international Omar Marmoush continues to make history with his German team Eintracht Frankfurt, while press reports confirm his imminent transfer to Manchester City.

Marmoush led his team, Eintracht Frankfurt, to a valuable victory over its host, St. Pauli, thanks to a goal he scored in the 32nd minute of the match.

With this goal, Marmoush became the first Egyptian player in the history of Eintracht Frankfurt to score 14 goals in one season in the German First Division Football League (Bundesliga).

He also became the first player in Eintracht Frankfurt history to score 14 goals in the first 16 matches of a Bundesliga season.

Marmoush surpassed the achievement of his compatriot Mohamed Zidan, who scored 13 goals in the German league while playing for Mainz in the 2006-2007 season.

The Egyptian international became runner-up to his compatriot Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool star, in the number of goal contributions, equal to the Englishman Harry Kane.

Mohamed Salah reached his 31st goal contribution, while Marmoush comes in second place with Kane with 22 goal contributions.

Marmoush has scored 30 goals in 25 matches with Frankfurt in all competitions this season.

Marmoush and the move to Manchester City

Press sources confirmed on Saturday that Manchester City is very close to concluding a deal to sign Eintracht Frankfurt striker, Egyptian international Omar Marmoush.

Media reports indicated that talks between the English team and its German counterpart are proceeding at a rapid pace and it is likely that this deal will be completed and officially announced next week.

The same sources confirmed that Manchester City agreed to all the requests of the Egyptian international, who is having a remarkable season with his team in the German League (before the 16th round, Marmoush scored 13 goals).

Spanish coach Pep Guardiola is pushing City's management hard to complete this deal because he believes that Marmoush will be a great replacement for the departure of Argentine Julian Alvarez last summer to Atletico Madrid.
