King Abdullah Sports City Stadium (the Shining Jewel) will host today, Sunday, the El Clasico match between Barcelona and Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup final, which smells of revenge, after the Catalan team won by four goals late last year in the Spanish League.

This is the fifth time that Saudi Arabia has hosted the Spanish Super Cup, and the third time in a row that the Super Cup final will witness a Clasico match; the two teams exchanged the title in 2023 and 2024.

Since the tournament began with the participation of 4 teams starting in 2020, Barcelona or Real Madrid have won the title in the last 3 editions, knowing that the team that won the title of this tournament was crowned the Spanish League title at the end of the season.

The teams may have changed in form since the last time they met in October, but Barcelona will be hoping for the same result.

Hansi Flick's men showed that they are real candidates to win the Spanish League title, after winning that match by four clean goals.

The match revealed some flaws within the ranks of Real Madrid, led by Carlo Ancelotti, but they have now been addressed; Real Madrid leads the Spanish League, 5 points ahead of Barcelona, who are in third place.

This will be the 259th encounter between the two teams in all official competitions. Barcelona won 101 matches, while Real Madrid won 105 matches and drew 52 matches, which confirms the intense rivalry between the two teams.

This is also evident in the goals scored; Barcelona have scored 423 goals against Real Madrid, while Real Madrid have scored 433 against Barcelona.

Barcelona seeks to continue its recent victories by defeating Real Madrid and winning its fifteenth title in this tournament.
