Late Monday evening, US fighter jets launched a series of airstrikes on sites in the capital, Sanaa, hours after similar raids on the western Yemeni province of Al Hudaydah.

According to activists on social media, "US warplanes launched several raids on the Al-Nahda neighborhood, Iman University, and the headquarters of the First Armored Division, north of the capital."

Houthi media reported US airstrikes on Sana'a, with one targeting an open area near Western 60th Street in Al-Thawra district, and another in the Jabal Sarf area in Bani Hashis district.

Eyewitnesses said, "Ambulances rushed to the sites targeted by the raids on Al-Sitteen Street, where the university is located."

Activists on social media circulated photos of the fire at the targeted site at Iman University.

For the first time, US airstrikes targeted Iman University, which the Houthis had emptied of its students after seizing control of the capital, Sana'a, in September 2014. The Houthis have used the university's buildings as residences, headquarters, and warehouses for the group.

For the fourth consecutive day, the United States continues to launch airstrikes on Houthi positions in Yemen. This campaign, which began last Saturday, aims to halt Houthi attacks in the Red Sea that threaten international navigation. The Houthis, in turn, claim that the attacks are motivated by their support for Gaza.
