The army thwarts Houthi infiltration attempts in Marib and Al-Jawf, inflicting heavy losses on the militias

On Sunday, the army forces were able to thwart three infiltration attempts by the terrorist Houthi militia elements on the battle fronts south and north of Ma'rib Governorate, which resulted in the militias suffering heavy losses in lives and equipment.

Military sources told the Armed Forces Media Center that army units monitored the enemy's movements accurately and dealt with them firmly, forcing the Houthi elements to retreat after violent clashes.

The forces also responded to artillery shelling by the Houthi militias on military sites in the Al-A'arif sector, where they succeeded in silencing the sources of fire, despite the injury of three army personnel.

In Al-Jawf Governorate, the army forces dealt with similar hostile operations, where they were able to neutralize the sources of enemy fire, in addition to destroying drilling equipment that the militias were using to create roads and fortifications in the contact areas on the Al-Jadafer front.

This comes in light of the Houthi militia's continued escalation on a number of fronts, as it sent military reinforcements to Marib, Taiz, Al-Jawf and other governorates.
