The Yemeni Congregation for Reform (Islah) Party strongly condemned the renewed brutal Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, denouncing the occupation's failure to honor its ceasefire commitments. The party considered it a flagrant violation of international law and humanitarian conventions, and an undermining of international mediation efforts.
In a statement on Wednesday, the party said that the systematic attacks targeting civilians and vital facilities reveal that the Israeli entity continues to commit its crimes without accountability, concealed by international silence and the complicity of some regimes.
He considered this aggression to be merely one link in a chain of occupation policies based on ethnic cleansing and systematic destruction, explaining that this requires effective international action that goes beyond verbal condemnations to the imposition of deterrent mechanisms to end these brutal violations.
The statement called on the United Nations and the Security Council to take immediate action to halt the Israeli aggression and impose political and economic sanctions on the Israeli occupation for its grave violations of human rights, international law, and the general principles of the United Nations.
He pointed out that the resumption of the war was nothing more than an attempt by the extremist Netanyahu government to export its internal crisis by sacrificing the Palestinian people as a means of evading political obligations.
The Islah Party considered this shameful, criminal approach to reflect a blatant disregard for human and moral values, and a threat to international peace and security by the Israeli occupation.
He called on world governments to assume their moral and legal responsibilities in putting an end to the ongoing aggression against the Palestinian people, emphasizing that this can be achieved by halting all forms of military or political support for the Israeli entity and halting the provision of diplomatic cover for its crimes.
He also called on the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to call for an urgent meeting to discuss ways to confront the ongoing Israeli aggression against Gaza, and to adopt a unified Arab and Islamic stance that puts an end to the crimes committed against the Palestinian people and supports their steadfastness politically and humanitarianly.
The Islah Party called on international human rights organizations to document the occupation's crimes and present them to competent courts to ensure that perpetrators do not escape punishment.
He called on the International Committee of the Red Cross and relief organizations to act quickly to provide urgent humanitarian support to civilians in Gaza and to ensure that medical personnel and vital facilities are not targeted.
Statement text:
The Yemeni Congregation for Reform strongly condemns the brutal Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, denouncing the occupation's evasion of its ceasefire commitments, in flagrant violation of international law and humanitarian conventions, and undermining international mediation efforts. The systematic attacks targeting civilians and vital facilities reveal the Israeli entity's continued crimes without accountability, concealed by international silence and the complicity of some regimes. This aggression is only one link in a chain of occupation policies based on ethnic cleansing and systematic destruction, which requires effective international action that goes beyond verbal condemnations to the imposition of deterrent mechanisms to end these brutal violations. In this context, we, the Yemeni Congregation for Reform, emphasize the following:
First: We call on the United Nations and the Security Council to take immediate action to halt the Israeli aggression and impose political and economic sanctions on the Israeli occupation for its grave violations of human rights, international law, and the general principles of the United Nations. This is especially true given that the resumption of the war is nothing more than an attempt by the extremist Netanyahu government to export its internal crisis by sacrificing the Palestinian people as a means of evading political obligations. This shameful, criminal approach reflects a blatant disregard for human and moral values, and threatens international peace and security.
Second: We call on the world's governments to assume their moral and legal responsibilities to put an end to the ongoing aggression against the Palestinian people. This must be achieved by halting all forms of military or political support for the Israeli entity and ceasing to provide diplomatic cover for its crimes.
Third: We call on the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to call for an urgent meeting to discuss ways to confront the ongoing Israeli aggression against Gaza, and to adopt a unified Arab and Islamic position that puts an end to the crimes committed against the Palestinian people and supports their steadfastness politically and humanitarianly.
Fourth: We call on international human rights organizations to document the occupation's crimes and present them to competent courts to ensure that perpetrators do not escape punishment. We also demand that the International Committee of the Red Cross and relief organizations act quickly to provide urgent humanitarian support to civilians in Gaza and work to ensure that medical personnel and vital facilities are not targeted.
We ask God for mercy for the martyrs, healing for the wounded and injured, and freedom for the Palestinian people.
