Mohamed Salah is the best foreign scorer in the history of the English Premier League

Egyptian star Mohamed Salah continues to break records with Liverpool, after scoring two goals during the 3-1 victory over Southampton on Saturday evening, in the 28th round of the English Premier League.

Salah scored two goals from penalty kicks in the 54th and 88th minutes, raising his goal tally in the competition this season to 27 goals, 7 goals ahead of his closest pursuer, Erling Haaland.

According to Squawka, Salah has reached 44 goals and assists this season.

Salah also tied with Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero as the Premier League's all-time foreign scorers, with each having 184 goals.

The network added that Salah has become the player in Liverpool's history who has contributed the most goals in a single season in the English Premier League, surpassing his previous record (42) which he achieved in the 2017/18 season, and Luis Suarez's record in the 2013/14 season.

The Egyptian star also equalled the record for the number of goal contributions in a single season, set by Thierry Henry in the 2002/03 season and Erling Haaland in the 2022/23 season.

The network continued, that Salah joined an exclusive list that scored 10 or more goals at home and 10 or more goals away from home in one season in the English Premier League, on 3 or more occasions, along with Harry Kane and Erling Haaland.
