Turkey's Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday that an Israeli airstrike killed three Turkish citizens who were trying to cross illegally from Lebanon into Israel.
According to Reuters, the ministry said in a statement without mentioning the time and place of the incident, “We condemn in the strongest terms this illegal attack that resulted in the killing of our citizens.”
She explained that the procedures for returning their bodies to Türkiye are underway.
"As we have stressed on all occasions, Israel must immediately stop its aggressive policies that disregard human life and escalate tensions in our region," the ministry said.
