The days of Ramadan continue and with the long hours of fasting, we try to focus on foods and drinks that benefit us and do not harm our health.
We must always ensure that the nutrients we get between Iftar and Suhoor will benefit us and give us enough energy to help our bodies fast the next day.
Many fasting people may suffer from indigestion or constipation and other problems related to the stomach and colon. Therefore, choosing healthy food and appropriate drinks is one of the most important things that we should pay attention to during the month of Ramadan.
According to what doctors and nutritionists recommend, there are some types of drinks, which the health website Boldsky described as the best drinks that benefit fasting people, and we must make sure to have them during the Iftar meal. The list includes 5 drinks, which are:
- Water
Nothing beats a glass of water for breakfast. It is the king of drinks, as it hydrates the body, provides energy and aids digestion. So it is no wonder that a glass of water is at the top of the list.
- Milk and dates
This is one of the best drinks that we should be keen on during breakfast. We can soak dates in a cup of skim milk and leave it for about 12 hours, then start breakfast with this useful and rich drink, which gives us energy and maintains moderate blood sugar levels, which usually decrease during fasting hours.
- Apricot juice
It is one of the most famous juices that is associated with the month of fasting, as we wait for it from one year to another to enjoy it for breakfast. Apricots are rich in fiber and vitamin A, and they also contain retinol, which is a substance that is easily absorbed by the body and enhances the digestion process.
- Lemon juice with mint
A mixture of lemon, water and mint leaves is also a very beneficial drink that can be consumed as part of breakfast. It is a drink rich in vitamin C and fiber, and you can also add a spoonful of honey to the mixture. A cup of this juice is enough to give you refreshment and energy after a long day of fasting.
- Banana milkshake
Bananas are rich in potassium, fiber, vitamin C and B6. You can blend one to two bananas with a cup of skim milk and have a cup of this delicious smoothie during breakfast. It will give you a lot of energy and help you endure fasting the next day.
