Fifth: Opening the city of Aleppo to be a free industrial and commercial zone, so that Turkey pledges to help rebuild the industrial city, and the regime allows Syrian businessmen present in opposition areas or outside Syria to return and work there, in exchange for a Turkish pledge to seek to exempt Aleppo from American sanctions.
Sixth: Setting a transitional timetable to arrange the political situation through a new dialogue table in Geneva.
Fidan's statements
In the same context, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said on Monday that developments in Syria show the necessity for the Syrian government to reach reconciliation with its people and the opposition, adding that Ankara is ready to contribute to any dialogue.
His comments came after a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi following a lightning offensive that saw opposition forces reach Aleppo nearly a decade after they were forced out of the northern Syrian city.
In a joint press conference, Fidan said: "It is wrong to interpret the latest developments in Syria as foreign intervention... The latest developments show the need for Damascus to reconcile with its people and with the opposition."
"The reason for the latest developments in (northern) Syria is that the problems that have lasted for 13 years have not been resolved," he added, noting that Ankara opposes any escalation in Syria or an influx of refugees from the region.
He pointed out that the Astana track had achieved a halt to violent field clashes, adding: "Thus, we aimed to strengthen the regime's engagement with the opposition in the political sphere."
