The circle of Israeli aggression in the cities of the northern West Bank is expanding at an accelerating pace, as aerial bombardment has become a common practice for the Israeli occupation army to carry out assassinations, target civilians and destroy infrastructure, in an attempt to replicate the model of the war on the Gaza Strip, at a time when the West Bank witnessed a new massacre yesterday evening, Wednesday, when the occupation air force bombed the town of Tamoun in the Tubas district, which led to the martyrdom of 10 Palestinians.

Meanwhile, Palestinians are awaiting the release today of the third batch of Palestinian prisoners in the first phase of the exchange process, as the Palestinian prisoners’ institutions published a list of the names of the prisoners scheduled to be released today, and among the most prominent names on the list is the Palestinian prisoner Zakaria Zubeidi. The prisoners’ institutions said that “the reception of the released prisoners in the third batch of the first phase of the exchange process will be on Thursday in the Radana area in the Ramallah Governorate and is expected to be at noon.”

In a wide-scale campaign of targeting and arrests against the family of Jerusalemite prisoner Ashraf Munir Zaghir, a resident of the town of Kafr Aqab, north of occupied Jerusalem, the Israeli occupation forces stormed the homes of the Zaghir family in the city of Jerusalem today, Wednesday, and ransacked their contents, before arresting a number of his relatives, in addition to launching a campaign of arrests against the family members and his friends. The occupation police said in a statement that it arrested 12 Palestinians in the Kafr Aqab neighborhood, for celebrating the release of a Palestinian prisoner in the recent exchange operation that took place within the framework of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

For their part, the Palestinian Commission of Prisoners' Affairs, the Palestinian Prisoners' Club, and the Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association confirmed the martyrdom of detainees Mohammed Sharif al-Asali (35 years old) and Ibrahim Adnan Ashour (25 years old), both from Gaza. According to the three institutions, al-Asali was martyred on May 17 of last year, while Ashour was martyred on January 23 of last year.
