200 Palestinian prisoners, including those with life sentences and long sentences, win their freedom

Red Cross buses carrying 200 Palestinian prisoners arrived in the town of Beitunia in Ramallah, while the freed prisoners deported abroad as part of the "Free Flood" deal arrived at the Rafah crossing on their way to Egypt.

The Israeli occupation forces released Palestinian prisoners this Saturday afternoon as part of a prisoner exchange operation, from Ofer prison, located on the lands of the town of Beitunia, west of Ramallah, in the central West Bank, while 70 prisoners with life sentences and high sentences will be transferred to Arab and European countries.

International Red Cross buses carrying prisoners arrived in the town of Beitunia, west of Ramallah, and this was preceded by the Israeli occupation forces storming the town, while the released prisoners will be transferred to a designated reception center in Ramallah.

The Martyrs and Prisoners Office of Hamas and the Prisoners and Freed Prisoners Affairs Authority announced the list of names of the second batch of prisoners in the first phase of the exchange deal today, Saturday. The release of this batch, which includes 200 Palestinian prisoners, comes in exchange for the release of Israeli soldiers Karina Arif, Daniel Gilboa, Naama Levy and Liri Elbag. Hamas said in a statement that 70 of the Palestinian prisoners who will be released today will be transferred outside Gaza and the West Bank.

Al-Araby Al-Jadeed has learned that Egyptian officials will receive, in the coming hours, 70 Palestinian prisoners serving life sentences and long sentences, released from Israeli prisons as part of a prisoner exchange deal. According to Egyptian sources familiar with the negotiations, some of the prisoners will serve their deportation period in Egypt, while others will move to several countries in the coming days, including Turkey, Jordan and Qatar, and some may move to European countries such as Switzerland and Norway.

The sources explained that Cairo has completed the preparations, as the prisoners are scheduled to be transferred to Cairo from Arish via military helicopters. The sources expected that officials from the Egyptian General Intelligence Service will organize a press conference to announce the details of the handover process. The released prisoners will be received by technical teams from the resistance factions in Cairo, which are following up on the implementation of the agreement, as Cairo will provide them with secure accommodation until they move to their other destinations.
