A soldier was injured last night in an attack by armed elements believed to belong to Al-Qaeda on a site of the Transitional Council forces in Mudiyah District, east of Abyan Governorate, southern Yemen.
Media outlets affiliated with the Transitional Council said that the forces of the Second Support and Reinforcement Brigade repelled an attack on Friday evening, launched by elements described as belonging to Al-Qaeda, on one of its sites in Wadi Omran, northeast of Mudiyah District.
The sources added that the forces inflicted losses on those elements (without mentioning the details of the losses) and forced them to flee.
According to the sources, the attack resulted in the injury of a member of the Second Support and Reinforcement Brigade, and he was transferred to the hospital for treatment.
