Aden: Yemen Youth Net (Exclusive)
On Wednesday, the Transitional Council forces closed the land and international transport offices in the interim capital, Aden, in southern Yemen, after they refused to pay new taxes, and took the employees of those offices to prison.
The transport offices said in a joint complaint addressed to the Minister of Transport that "a security campaign with military crews closed all international land transport offices in Aden on Wednesday, under the pretext of imposing a 1% tourist fee and taking their employees to the Mansoura sector."
According to the complaint, a copy of which was obtained by "Yemeni Youth Net", the employees are still detained, calling on the concerned authorities to intervene quickly and lift the injustice against them, and release their employees.
The complaint confirmed that if the offices remain closed, the transportation offices will be forced to carry out a comprehensive strike and stop all flights.
The transportation offices also sent a message to travelers, expatriates, and visitors to the Holy House of God, apologizing for not providing passenger transportation services and dispatching pilgrims as a result of the measures taken by the Transitional Forces.
