Al-Qassam carries out an ambush against an Israeli infantry force east of Khan Yunis (video)

Al Jazeera broadcast exclusive scenes of the "Al-Faraheen 2" ambush carried out by the Al-Qassam Brigades - the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) - against a foot force of occupation soldiers in the Al-Faraheen area, east of the city of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.

The video showed that the ambush dates back to Monday, August 5, when members of the incursion force were targeted with a "Sajjil" device, which led to the killing and wounding of all members of the incursion force.

The scenes also revealed that the ambush took place in a buffer zone established by the Israeli army east of Khan Yunis.

One of the officers said, addressing the occupation: “There is no safety for you in this area from which you have displaced its people. It is forbidden to you and you have no security from it or in it.”

One of the officers appeared preparing the shale bomb, which he said was made in the “Khan Yunis Brigade.” Then the process of monitoring the incursion of the occupation soldiers began before detonating it against 4 soldiers.

A leading source in Al-Qassam told Al-Jazeera that after the explosion, members of the Brigades fired light machine guns at close range on the remaining soldiers, and that their remains were scattered in the place and were carried by troop carriers inside and then transported by two helicopters.

He added that the explosive material in the device was extracted from occupation missiles that did not explode and contained 750 fragments.

First ambush

Al-Qassam had set up the first Faraheen ambush on February 12, when it detonated a television bomb against the occupation soldiers, and clashed with them from zero distance, which led to the death of the commander of the 630th Reserve Battalion, the deputy company commander, and a soldier, in addition to many wounded.

Since the start of the large-scale ground operation of the occupation army in the Gaza Strip late last October, Al-Qassam has been broadcasting scenes of its fighters targeting occupation vehicles in various axes of the incursion, ranging from hitting tanks with anti-tank missiles to detonating others with explosive devices, and setting up successful ambushes.

The operations also included targeting Israeli foot forces with anti-fortified shells, in addition to sniper operations, direct clashes, and raids on command headquarters for occupation operations in various areas.
