Osasuna filed a complaint against Barcelona on Friday following their 3-0 defeat in a postponed La Liga match, objecting to the participation of defender Inigo Martinez under FIFA regulations.

Osasuna explained in a statement: "The participation of Iñigo Martínez in Thursday's match contravenes Article 5 of Annex 1 of the FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players."

He continued, "Which stipulates that a player who does not join his national team or leaves it for medical reasons is not permitted to play matches with his club during the five days following the end of the international break."

The Barcelona defender was called up to the Spanish national team during the recent international break, but was eventually replaced by youngster Dean Huysen due to problems with his right knee.

Osasuna therefore believes that Martinez "was not eligible to play yesterday's match according to FIFA regulations." However, this action has little chance of success, according to the Spanish press.
