The Palestinian factions and forces held a meeting on Saturday in Doha to discuss the implementation of the ceasefire agreement and the exchange of prisoners with the Israeli occupation. The meeting was held at the invitation of the Hamas movement.

The meeting was attended by a leadership delegation from Hamas headed by its leadership council chairman Mohammed Darwish, delegations from the Islamic Jihad Movement headed by its Secretary-General Ziad al-Nakhalah, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine headed by Deputy Secretary-General Jamil Mazhar, the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine headed by Deputy Secretary-General Majida al-Masri, the National Initiative delegation headed by Secretary-General Mustafa Barghouti, the Popular Front - General Command delegation headed by its Political Bureau member Ramez Mustafa, the Palestinian People's Party delegation headed by Shamekh Abu Sakhr, and the head of the Prisoners and Freed Persons Affairs Authority Qadura Fares.

Mohammed Darwish said, "The Battle of the Flood of Al-Aqsa and the Zionist war of extermination are a major turning point in the Palestinian cause, and they must push us to unite to confront the dangers threatening the cause," considering this meeting a message of comprehensive national unity. He added, "I address a word to our brothers in the Fatah movement and the rest of the factions, that our hands are extended for unity in any place and at any time."

He stressed that the participants in the meeting want a national unity government, "but if that is impossible, then let us run the Gaza Strip nationally, and let us all contribute to healing the wounds of our people, rebuilding and providing relief to the people," he said. He continued: "Let us prove at this moment that we are the struggling, steadfast and united people, and we will defeat our enemy, and we will liberate the entire national territory and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque." For his part, the head of the negotiating delegation and leader in the Hamas movement, Khalil Al-Hayya, reviewed the details of the ceasefire agreement with the occupation, the implementation mechanisms, and the course of the negotiation process during the past period.

In turn, the heads of the participating delegations stressed "the necessity of protecting this national achievement that was made possible thanks to the steadfastness and sacrifices of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, which led to the imposition of a cessation of aggression and the war of extermination against our people," praising the role and efforts of the Hamas movement in leading the battle in the field and negotiations.

They stressed the importance of preserving Palestinian national unity and forming a Palestinian national consensus government in accordance with the recent Beijing Agreement, affirming that the day following the cessation of aggression is an internal Palestinian affair until what was agreed upon in Beijing is implemented. They also stressed the need to expedite the relief process for the afflicted people in the Gaza Strip, and to provide everything necessary for urgent shelter, relief and the reconstruction process.

The participants saluted all the military wings of the Palestinian resistance factions that bravely confronted the aggression. They also thanked all the resistance fronts that supported our people, especially Lebanon, Yemen, Iran and Iraq, and "all the sons of our Arab and Islamic nation and the free people of the world who provided support and assistance in all its forms." The participants extended special thanks to the Qatari and Egyptian mediators who made tremendous efforts to reach this honorable agreement, stressing the right of the Palestinian people to continue resisting the occupation until achieving their goals of liberation, return and independence.
