Secrets Revealed.. 6000 Israeli Occupation Army Killed in War on Gaza

Major questions have been raised about the timing of the announcement by the newly appointed Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army, Major General (res.) Eyal Zamir, of new statistics regarding the army’s losses since Operation Flood of Al-Aqsa until the end of last year.
A report broadcast by Israel's Channel 12 the day before yesterday, quoting statements by Zamir - who holds the position of Director General of the Ministry of Defense - said that 5,942 new Israeli families joined the list of bereaved families during the year 2024, while more than 15,000 injured people were absorbed into the rehabilitation system.
Zamir's statements came in reference to the consequences of the ongoing fighting, calling for the need to care for the families of the wounded and dead, and he said, "We must ensure that they receive appropriate support and assistance."
According to Israeli affairs expert Azzam Abu Al-Adas, the expression “list of bereaved families” is used in the literature of the occupation army as a term that refers to the number of families in which a military member was confirmed to have been killed during the war.
Abu Al-Adas said - in his interview with Al Jazeera Net - that the term "joining the circle of bereaved families" used in Zamir's statements means the families of soldiers killed in the army and not civilians, because there is a circle for dead soldiers called "bereaved families."
Blocking leaks
This information is considered the latest data from the army on its losses in the war, while the statistics before it indicated that the number of dead since Operation Flood of Al-Aqsa was only 1,800, including about 400 soldiers in the ground operation in Gaza.
Abu Al-Adas pointed out that Zamir's disclosure of this number may have been due to this information being leaked to the press, and that he wanted to block it, especially since there had been precedents for such leaks in the past.
The report stated that 51% of them were between the ages of 18 and 30, and 66% of them were reserve soldiers. It said that the rehabilitation department was receiving about 1,000 war wounded patients every month, in addition to about 500 new requests for recognition of injury due to previous injuries.
According to the department's estimates, by 2030 there will be about 100,000 disabled people in the Israeli army, half of whom will be mentally ill.
The Israeli Ministry of Defense admitted in a statement dated January 28 that “the Ministry’s Rehabilitation Department has taken care of more than 15,000 wounded soldiers since the outbreak of the war.”
Amos Harel, a military analyst for Haaretz newspaper, stated in an article published in the middle of last month that the army's losses were a decisive factor in achieving a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, in addition to the urgent need to return the prisoners held by the Palestinian resistance in the Strip.
big army
Military analysts believe that one of the reasons that prompted Zamir to reveal these numbers is that it comes within his vision, in which he always calls for the necessity of building a large army in Israel and not relying on a small, intelligent army with advanced equipment and technology.
Abu Awad says that Zamir's statements come in his attempt to change the Israeli army's theory and strategy and build a large army, not a small army as former Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi wanted.
The Israeli newspaper Maariv reported that the army is currently in a race against time to rebuild its ground forces, and this includes a significant increase in the size of a number of ground sectors, the first of which is the armored corps.
The report stated that the army focused on producing hundreds of Merkava 4 tanks that are produced in Israel, and was forced not to implement the decision to remove the Merkava 3 from service due to the heavy losses of its armored vehicles in the war on Gaza and its inability to produce the required numbers to fill the shortage.
