Palestinian Health: 6 martyrs in an Israeli raid on Jenin camp

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the martyrdom of 6 Palestinians tonight as a result of an Israeli air strike on the Jenin camp in the northern West Bank.

The Ministry of Health said that the bodies of the martyrs arrived at Jenin Governmental Hospital.

For its part, local sources told Al Jazeera that the Israeli raid on Jenin camp used 3 missiles.

On the other hand, the Israeli army and the internal security service (Shabak) said in a joint statement that "the air force is carrying out a joint operation in a raid on the Jenin area."

A leader in the Jenin Battalion told Al Jazeera that the occupation targeted a number of civilians and children in the camp.

He added that the Israeli targeting took place amidst the ongoing siege imposed by the Authority on the camp.

The leader continued, "The authority must immediately withdraw from the camp's surroundings and leave us alone with the occupation."
