Abyan.. A popular demonstration demanding retribution against the killer of a football player in Khanfar

Today, Sunday, the city of Al-Koud in Khanfar District, Abyan Governorate, witnessed a popular demonstration demanding retribution for the killer of a football player, who was killed last week by bullets from a member of the Southern Transitional Council forces.

The protesters raised banners that read, "The demands of the victim's family and the people of the Al-Koud area, for urgent retribution for their son, Ahmed Al-Yasi."

They also called on the security and judicial authorities to quickly adjudicate the case and punish their son, and to work to confront the phenomenon of the spread of drugs, which they considered the cause of the spread of crimes in the directorate.

The demonstrators vowed to hold a protest next Sunday in front of the Public Prosecution Office in the directorate to demand a speedy resolution of the case.

Last Sunday, former Al-Fajr Al-Jadeed Club player Ahmed Al-Yasi, 26, was killed by a member of one of the Transitional Council formations on the main street in the Al-Koud area of Khanfar District.
