Al Mahrah.. Security services mobilize to combat illegal hunting and drugs

The Director General of Security and Police in Al Mahrah Governorate, Brigadier General Mufti Suhail Samouda, called on the sheikhs and dignitaries of Hawf District to cooperate with the security services to achieve security and stability in the district, and to confront the phenomenon of random and illegal hunting, in addition to combating the spread of drugs.

This came during an expanded meeting held by Brigadier General Samouda with the leadership of the local authority and dignitaries of the directorate, to discuss the current security situation and develop a joint action plan to enhance security and stability, according to the security media center in the governorate.

In his speech, Brigadier Samouda pointed out that there is a systematic targeting of youth in the governorate through the spread of drugs, calling on everyone to make more efforts to protect youth from this danger.

He stressed that the security services are working in full coordination with the relevant executive offices, including the Fisheries Authority, which has achieved tangible successes in reducing illegal fishing in most of the governorate's directorates.

Brigadier General Samouda confirmed that the security services are continuing to implement plans for field visits and inspections in various directorates, in coordination with the local authority and sheikhs of the directorates, in implementation of the directives of Governor Mohammed Ali Yasser.

For his part, the Director General of Hawf District, Hatem Makki, praised Brigadier General Samouda’s visit and his field inspection of the security situation in the district, pointing out the importance of continuing these efforts to enhance security and stability.

This comes amid the increasing spread of drug smuggling gangs in the governorate located on the border with the Sultanate of Oman.
