Hadhramaut.. Clashes erupt between tribal gunmen and a security campaign in the "Al-Khasha'a" area

Violent clashes erupted late last night and continued until dawn on Tuesday between tribal gunmen and a security campaign in Hadhramaut Valley (east of the country).

Local sources said that clashes erupted between gunmen from the Dahm tribe, which belongs to Al-Jawf Governorate, on the one hand, and soldiers of a security campaign led by the Director of Security of the Valley and Desert, Abdullah bin Habish Al-Sayari, on the other hand, in the Al-Khasha’a area, west of Hadhramaut Valley.

The sources added that the clashes, which resulted in the injury of a number of soldiers and the burning of military vehicles, erupted after the security campaign entered a dispute between armed men from the sons of Dahm, who claim to have bought the farm five years ago, and others from the sons of the region.

The sources indicated that the security campaign went to the farm, but was exposed to gunfire from the tribal gunmen, which led to the outbreak of clashes with them, before local mediation succeeded in stopping it.
