Four civilians, including a child and a woman, were injured yesterday, Tuesday, as a result of Houthi artillery shelling that targeted a village south of Al Hudaydah Governorate, western Yemen.
Ishraq Al-Maqtari, a member of the National Committee to Investigate Allegations of Human Rights Violations, stated in a post on the “X” platform that the bombing targeted the village of Bani Akish, northwest of the Hays Directorate, which led to varying injuries among civilians.
According to Al-Maqtari, the injured are: the child Ali Abdullah Salem Kziz (two and a half years old), who sustained a serious shrapnel injury to his right eye, Hala Ali Kilab Tareh, who sustained moderate injuries, and Jumaa Muhammad Batili and Haitham Abdullah Salem Kziz, who sustained various injuries throughout their bodies.
Al-Maqtari reported that the injured were transferred to Hays Hospital to receive the necessary treatment, amid growing fears that the Houthis will continue to target population centers in rural areas, which will increase the suffering of the residents who lack adequate health services.
