The Houthi militia admitted that 2,300 students were subjected to military courses in universities, colleges, and government and private institutes in Ibb Governorate (central Yemen) during the past months.

Houthi media reported that the militia held a parade on Tuesday for what it called the "general mobilization" forces in universities, colleges, and government and private institutes in Ibb Governorate for (2,300) individuals who graduated from the "Al-Aqsa Flood" general mobilization courses.

The militia claimed that these courses aimed to teach students how to use weapons so that they would be fully prepared and ready to confront what it called any "aggression" or escalation.

During the Israeli aggression on Gaza and the militia's initiation of attacks on ships in the Red Sea, the group launched compulsory military courses in all universities, institutes and schools in the various governorates under its control, and trained teachers and students on the use of weapons, in addition to intensive mobilization lectures.
