Ibb.. Three civilians killed and injured during clashes between gunmen in a dispute over a plot of land in Birim

A young man was killed and two others, including a child, were injured by gunmen exchanging fire in a market in the city of Yarim, north of Ibb (central Yemen), amid the widespread security chaos witnessed in the governorate under the control of the Houthi militia.

Yemeni Youth Net sources said that gunmen exchanged fire inside the Amad Qat market in the city of Yarim yesterday evening, which led to the death of a young man named (Ammar Akram Saleh Al-Aroui - 19 years old), and the injury of (Ali Muhammad Ali Al-Jalal - 22 years old), and the child (Saad Muhammad Masoud Al-Bahm - 8 years old), all of whom were passersby and shoppers.

The sources added that the clashes erupted between gunmen belonging to a person called (Lutf Sari) and others from (Bani Hamdi), in connection with a previous dispute over a piece of land pending before the court.

Ibb Governorate is witnessing a massive security chaos and widespread crimes, especially those related to land disputes, which have been exacerbated by the militia’s interventions and the judiciary’s procrastination in adjudicating their cases.
