IOM: 23 Yemeni families displaced during the past week for security and economic reasons

The International Organization for Migration announced today, Monday, the displacement of 23 families during the past week for security and economic reasons.
The organization said in its weekly report that its displacement tracking matrix monitored the displacement of 23 Yemeni families, representing (138 individuals), during the period from January 19 to 25.
She explained that the displacement cases originated from Hodeidah, Taiz and Sana'a and settled in Marib (14 families), Hodeidah (6 families) and Lahj (3 families).
The organization stated that concerns related to safety and security as a result of the conflict were the main reason behind 13 families leaving their areas of origin, at a rate of 57%, while economic reasons related to the conflict forced 10 families to flee, at a rate of 43% of the total displacement cases.
The organization indicated that the total number of displaced families from January 1 to January 25, 2025 AD amounted to 127 families (762 individuals).
