IOM: 33 Yemeni families displaced for security and economic reasons in one week

The International Organization for Migration announced today, Saturday, the displacement of 33 families from several Yemeni governorates, within a week, for security and economic reasons.
The organization said in its weekly report that its tracking matrix monitored the displacement of 33 Yemeni families (198 individuals) during the period from January 5 to 11.
She explained that the displacement cases originated from Hodeidah, Taiz and Marib, and settled in Marib with 28 families, while 5 families moved to Hodeidah.
The organization stated that economic reasons related to the conflict were the main reason behind 19 families leaving their original areas, at a rate of 58%, while reasons related to security and safety as a result of the conflict forced 14 families to flee, at a rate of 42% of the total displacement cases.
The organization indicated that the total number of displaced families from January 1 to January 11, 2025 amounted to 63 families (378 individuals).
