Lahj: Violent clashes erupt between government forces and Houthi militias on the Karsh front.

Violent clashes erupted at dawn on Monday between government forces and Houthi militias on the Karsh front in Lahj Governorate (southern Yemen).

Military sources reported that violent clashes erupted early this morning between forces of the 3rd Hazm Brigade, affiliated with the 4th Military Region, and the terrorist Houthi militia in the Karsh and Shifan sectors, north of Lahj.

The sources added that the Houthi militia attempted to launch a surprise attack on government forces' positions, which led to violent clashes in which various types of weapons were used.

The sources indicated that the clashes, which lasted for about two hours, left three members of the Third Hazm Brigade dead and one wounded, as well as heavy losses among the militia.
