Sheikh Wadah Al-Aqrabi
On Saturday evening, forces affiliated with the Transitional Council released tribal sheikh Waddah Abdullah Al-Aqrabi, two days after he was kidnapped from a street in the Buraiqa district, west of the interim capital, Aden.
Sheikh Waddah's family told "Yemen Shabab Net" that members of the commander of the 3rd Support and Support Brigade (one of the Security Belt formations), "Nabil Al-Mashushi", released Sheikh Al-Aqrabi on Saturday evening, through local mediation.
The family added that Al-Aqrabi was released, and that a reconciliation would be made later with Al-Mashushi’s relatives, over the existing dispute with them over a piece of land.
Last Thursday, individuals affiliated with Nabil Al-Mashoushi kidnapped Sheikh Wadah Al-Aqrabi, from the main street in the Bir Ahmed area in Al-Buraiqa, west of Aden, and took him to a prison in the district.
The same forces had previously kidnapped Sheikh Wadah shortly before Eid al-Adha, detained him for 6 days, and released him through mediation by the governorate’s advisor, lawyer Fahman Atiri, and others.
