A number of civil society organizations will organize a human rights conference tomorrow, Tuesday, December 10, 2024, in the Turkish capital, Istanbul, on the occasion of International Human Rights Day, under the slogan "Yemen as a Human Being."
The conference is co-organized by “Athir Platform, the American Center for Justice, SAM Organization for Rights and Freedoms, the Association of Mothers of Abductees, and the Defense Foundation for Rights and Freedoms.”
The conference aims - according to its organizers - to shed light on the issues of the Yemeni people and their ongoing suffering as a result of the war that has lasted for a decade.
It also aims to discuss media and human rights efforts to promote human justice, highlight the challenges facing the Yemeni people in international forums, and enhance international solidarity to support Yemeni human rights and ensure that their voice is heard to the world.
The conference will be held in person at the Arab Institute for Studies Hall in Istanbul, and online using the Zoom platform, to facilitate the participation of attendees from all over the world.
This event comes as part of the ongoing efforts to highlight the suffering of the Yemeni people and work to enhance legal and media support for their advocacy.
