The terrorist Houthi militia stormed the home of researcher and historian Arafat Abdul Rahman Al-Hadrami, director of the Manuscripts Office in the historic city of Zabid, south of Hodeidah (western Yemen), and forcibly took him to an unknown location.
Local and human rights sources reported that militia members stormed Al-Hadrami's home on Wednesday and kidnapped him to an unknown location, without giving any reasons.
Al-Hadrami is considered one of the most prominent researchers in the field of documenting and preserving scientific and historical manuscripts. He is a literary and historical authority on the city of Zabid, which is listed as a World Heritage Site. He was previously kidnapped by the militia in August 2018.
