Johnson mocks Gaza displacement plan: They can be settled on Trump's Florida ranch

Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson yesterday sarcastically commented on Donald Trump's proposal to displace the people of Gaza and offer to settle them on his Florida ranch.
Johnson described US President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, as a great place to resettle the people of the Gaza Strip.
Johnson's statement came in response to a question while attending the World Government Summit in Dubai about Trump's plan for Gaza.
He replied that his recent business trip to the resort made him realise how great the place is, adding: “It’s a very great place if you want to resettle millions of people there.”

Johnson touched on the situation in Gaza and highlighted the humanitarian and political challenges facing the Strip, saying: “The Palestinian people must get the state they deserve and have been promised for decades.
He stressed that what is happening in Gaza is a great suffering that must end, and that the idea of US President Donald Trump "displacing" the residents of the Gaza Strip outside their land and building a city in the Strip is enough to destabilize the region.
Since last January, Trump has been promoting his country's intention to seize Gaza after displacing the Palestinians from it to other countries, specifically Egypt and Jordan. In line with Trump's plan, the Israeli government has begun preparing a plan that it claims aims for the "voluntary departure" of the Palestinians from Gaza.
With American support, the Israeli occupation forces committed genocide in Gaza between October 7, 2023 and January 19, 2025, leaving about 160,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 14,000 missing.
