A Yemeni parliamentarian described the Israeli Defense Minister's threat to target Yemeni provinces as "terrorist behavior" and called on the legitimate government to take an urgent stance. At the same time, the Israeli minister's statements were met with popular rejection.
Member of Parliament Ali Al-Maamari said, "The threat of the Israeli Defense Minister to target Yemeni governorates, similar to Gaza and Beirut, is a terrorist behavior that requires an urgent stance from the legitimate government, which is responsible for the entire country."
He added in a post on the X platform, "It is clear that there is a Houthi-Israeli-Iranian collusion and a joint effort to turn Yemen into a theatre of conflict that destroys what remains of the infrastructure and institutional structures in the areas controlled by the group."
He pointed out that this would lead to "plunging the country into a major humanitarian crisis that would deepen the catastrophe that people have been living for years." Parliamentarian Al-Maamari said, "The government must act and exert pressure at all levels to curb this madness."

The threats of the Israeli occupation were met with popular Yemeni rejection and condemnation, due to the arrogance of the Zionist entity’s show of force, which has targeted the infrastructure and capabilities of the Yemenis in Sana’a and Hodeidah with air strikes during the past months.
Yemeni writer Saeed Thabet said, "The criminal enemy's Minister of War, Israel Katz, threatens to destroy our two cities, historic Sana'a, and Al Hudaydah, the bride of the Red Sea, just as he destroyed Gaza."
He added in a tweet on the X platform: “This terrorist minister is declaring this threat to the world, knowing that no one in the world, with its organizations and institutions, will condemn or punish him.”

For his part, the Yemeni journalist Khattab Al-Ruhani said - commenting on Israel's threats - "The Zionists live in the arrogance of power and the foolishness of leadership, and this is the beginning of defeat." He added - in a tweet on the X platform - "If the genocide in Gaza tells us anything, it is that it is impossible to survive with the existence of this entity, let alone peace or coexistence with them."

Israeli Security Minister Yisrael Katz said on Monday evening that the Israeli occupation will strike Yemeni cities and said, "We will do to Sana'a and Hodeidah what we did to Gaza, Lebanon and Tehran." The Israeli minister's statement came in the context of his threat to the Houthi group and his claim that they will behead their leaders.
Katz's statements come amid escalating Houthi attacks, while the Israeli occupation air force launched aggressive raids targeting the capital, Sanaa, and the city of Hodeidah, and targeted power stations and infrastructure in the ports, resulting in the deaths of nine civilians.
