Earlier today, UN Secretary-General António Guterres called on the Houthi militia to immediately and unconditionally release those detained on Thursday, as well as UN, international and national NGO, civil society and diplomatic staff arbitrarily detained since June 2024, in addition to UN staff detained since 2021 and 2023.
Yesterday, Friday, the United Nations announced the suspension of all official UN movements in areas under the control of the terrorist Houthi militias supported by the Iranian regime, until further notice, in response to the new Houthi kidnappings.
