The Yemeni Socialist Party Organization in Taiz Governorate confirmed on Wednesday that the February Revolution constituted an exceptional national moment, and established an amazing and creative peaceful, civil, democratic approach, stressing that the revolution is ongoing.
The organization said in a statement that the February 11 revolution was not a coincidence, but rather an expression of the national crisis reaching its peak, and the ruling regime - at that time - reaching a state of complete inability to manage the state and care for the interests of citizens, and the spread of financial, administrative and political corruption in an unprecedented manner, and the adoption of policies of privatization, looting, impoverishment and starvation.
He added: "The February 11 Revolution represented a popular and national extension of the peaceful movement in the south of the country, the first beginnings of which began in the late nineties of the last century, and then soon spread to various governorates and regions of the south in 2007.
He continued: "This is why the February Revolution was a revolution for all Yemenis, regardless of their intellectual, political, or regional affiliations. It was not a project for fighting or revengeful hostility, but rather a project that seeks goodness, happiness, and prosperity for all Yemenis."

Taiz Socialist Party commemorates the glorious anniversary of the February 11 Revolution
The Yemeni Socialist Party Organization in Taiz Governorate commemorates the 14th anniversary of the glorious February 11, 2011 Revolution, and also commends the youth of the revolution and the masses of the people who are yearning for freedom, citizenship, social justice, and the building of a modern, democratic federal state.
On this great occasion, the Taiz Socialist Organization reaffirms that the revolution is ongoing, and is still pulsating with vitality, and revolutionary dreams and aspirations still flow in the veins of millions of our people, motivating them to complete the February program and tasks, and to possess the national destiny, no matter what the challenges and no matter what the storms that surround it from every direction.
The people were the main actor in the revolution, they were the leader and the spirit of the revolution flowing in the various squares, streets and public squares that became the stage for revolutionary events and a refuge for all classes and popular groups.
The February Revolution was an exceptional national moment. In terms of its demands, its popularity, its peaceful approach, and its popular civil protests that swept across Yemen from one end to the other, it represented a beautiful picture of national unity. During it, the subsidiary affiliations and narrow tribal, regional, sectarian, religious, and rural identities receded in favor of the dominance of national affiliation and the comprehensive national identity. The revolution was truly an actual embodiment of the desired Yemeni nationalism.
Today, 14 years after the revolution, our people face enormous challenges resulting from the coup and the devastating war, the effects of which are still grinding the bones of the Yemenis, especially on the economic side, as the deterioration of living conditions has reached the highest levels of suffering that are no longer tolerable, and the country has become vulnerable and has lost the ability to control its destiny, and has become a hostage to the outside, local agents and war merchants.
In light of all this, it is the responsibility of the masses of the people and their living forces to struggle to stop the deterioration, end the war and the coup, restore the national decision, and begin building the desired peace to save the country from fragmentation and disintegration, and to exert popular pressure on the government and the Presidential Council and push them to carry out broad administrative and economic reforms that would put an end to the deterioration of living conditions, combat corruption and hold the corrupt accountable, control the collection of revenues in accordance with the law, and employ them to support the service sector and development projects.
In this regard, the Taiz Socialist Party salutes the popular and union movement and the legitimate and just demands to improve the conditions of public sector workers and employees, raise wages, regularize the disbursement of salaries, allowances, and all job rights that guarantee workers and employees a decent living for them and their families.
The revolution is a project open to the future, and its embers are still burning in the conscience and in reality, striving to achieve a free, democratic, federal Yemen.
Glory to the February 11 Revolution,
Eternity for the martyrs,
Healing for the wounded,
Victory to the masses of the people and to the civil movement.
Issued by the Secretariat of the Yemeni Socialist Party Organization in Taiz Governorate
