The Leadership Council looks forward to urgent international support to respond to the priorities of the stage, most notably the economic rescue plan

The Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council expressed, on Wednesday, its aspiration to obtain urgent international support to respond to the priorities of the current stage, foremost of which is the economic rescue plan.
This came during a meeting chaired by President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, and attended by all its members, Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, Sultan Al-Arada, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman Al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi, Othman Majli, and Faraj Al-Bahsani, according to the Yemeni News Agency "Saba".
According to the agency, the meeting addressed local developments at all levels, most notably the latest developments in the economic, developmental, service, living and humanitarian conditions that were exacerbated by the attacks of the terrorist Houthi militias supported by the Iranian regime on oil facilities and international shipping lines.
The Council heard briefings from its members on the tasks assigned to them, in addition to government reports on the level of implementation of comprehensive reforms, the Council’s decisions and recommendations related to enhancing security and stability, improving the living and service conditions of citizens, containing the repercussions of the systematic measures of the Houthi militias that are destroying the national economy, and ensuring the continued fulfillment of the state’s inevitable obligations, including paying employees’ salaries and the necessary credits to import basic goods.
The Council noted the results of its recent meeting with the ambassadors of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, the French Republic, and the United Kingdom, which reaffirmed the strong partnership between the Presidential Leadership Council, the government, and key international allies, and the promotion of common goals to support peace, security, and stability in Yemen.
He pointed out the unified position of the international community on the Yemeni issue and its firm commitment to supporting the Presidential Leadership Council, the government and the Yemeni people, alleviating their humanitarian suffering, and supporting their aspirations to restore state institutions, development, stability and peace.
While renewing its great appreciation for the positions of Saudi Arabia and the UAE alongside the Yemeni people and their legitimate leadership, the Council expressed its aspiration for urgent international support to respond to the priorities of the current stage, foremost among which is the economic rescue plan and the Council’s strategy to deal with the intertwined challenges resulting from the continued terrorist escalation of the Houthi militias and its disastrous repercussions on the humanitarian, service and living conditions.
In this regard, the Council stressed the priority of improving public services and resources, and moving forward with reform efforts, including activating integrity mechanisms and combating corruption in accordance with its standards coordinated with regional and international partners.
