US forces announce the destruction of 3 Houthi drones and 2 missile systems

US forces announced on Sunday evening that they had destroyed three Houthi drones and missile systems within 24 hours.

"Over the past 24 hours, U.S. forces have destroyed three drones and two missile systems in an area controlled by the Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen," the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said.

She added: "These systems have been shown to pose a clear and imminent threat to US forces, coalition forces, and commercial vessels in the region," noting that "these measures are being taken to protect freedom of navigation and make international waters more protected and secure for US ships, coalition forces, and commercial vessels."
